Do you want to experience the benefits of exercise but are daunted by the thought of going to a gym, or worried about exercising at home and giving yourself an injury? Then 1:1 exercise therapy is for you.
The 1:1 exercise therapy package is bespoke to your needs and goals. It is aimed at individuals who are beginners, looking to gain knowledge and confidence in exercising.
It may be that a previous trauma has stopped you from exercising due to pain and the psychological challenges it presents, maybe it’s been so long since you last exercised you’re unsure how your body will cope, or maybe you just want to exercise knowing you are in safe hands with a qualified specialist whose area of expertise is in movement and exercise.
The sessions take place in our private studio equipped with everything needed to progress you through the 12 week programme. The programme is designed to progressively built your strength and confidence.
Who wouldn't be Suitable?
This package would not be suitable for experienced gym goers or individuals looking to improve their lift specific strength.
This package is not suitable for individuals whose main goal is weight loss. Although it is very likely you may lose weight on this programme due to an increase in exercise, this is not the main purpose of the package. However, I would be happy to enrol you on the 12 weeks programme with weight loss being your main goal provided that you are also seeing a qualified nutritionist or dietitian alongside. I can make this referral for you if requested.

This is a 12 Week Package and Includes
Week 1 - 4
- Initial assessment and testing (1 hour)

Week 5 - 8
- 1x 1 hour session per week

Week 9 - 12
- 2x 1 hour sessions per week

- Review session and testing
The initial assessment will be an in depth analysis of any existing medical issues, creating individualised goals, discussing your personal barriers to exercise and how we can facilitate you over the next 12 weeks and beyond. Kathryn will complete some physical tests according to your current fitness level and ability. Each session will include a free 15 minute consultation at the start to review your thoughts and feelings over the previous week and make adaptations where needed. Therefore you get the whole time that you pay for actually completing the exercise session. The home exercise programme will be designed around your existing daily living schedule so you can do as much or as little as you feel able to. Kathryn will keep a detailed account of your exercises over the 12 weeks so you can easily see the progress you have made. The review session will include the same testing as in your initial assessment and a plan will be made according to what you feel would be the best way to keep up the progress you make and continue life long exercise. That may be to continue with Kathryn, join a gym or complete home workouts.
There will be no judgement, you will not be shouted at to do more, and you can stay in your exercise comfort zone for as long as you need. Kathryn is there to provide support, education and encouragement.
You will also receive 20% off all other individual bookings during the 12 week programme including deep tissue massage and extra exercise sessions.
